Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Uptown Community Center Card Room

Present: Pat Teal, Bonnie Bolster, Julie Duke, Marion Huxtable, Lynn Gressley

Acceptance of Minutes

The minutes of the January meeting were approved.

Public Access

Pat reported that she and Lynn met with Catherine McNabb of Public Works to witness the City’s accessibility review for the CDBG grant which will assist Domestic Violence facilities and services.

Marion will develop a letter to be submitted to the appropriate City staff regarding the inaccessibility of the Library sponsored job finding classes at the Mountain View site.

To begin the update of the Restaurant Brochure, Lynn will develop lists of restaurants to start with. Bonnie has submitted a redesigned brochure template.

The County has asked DASH to suggest ways to redesign the Waste Disposal Center for accessibility. Marion and Julie personally evaluated the site. Marion will suggest to al Cairns to make a Shute for ease of disposal of oil at the County Waste Disposal Center and Lynn will talk with him about ramp resurfacing.

Treasury/Fundraising

Current fund balance $2252.35.

During the past month, DASH has received two checks totaling approximately $200 from UGN, most likely from the Donor Option program.

Other Business

We will look at the feasibility of the Uptown Community Center Card Room for this year’s Event start and finish on April 21.

Outside Committee Work

No outside issues were brought up.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:50 pm.
